The Lost King
Blackstone Series - Book Two of Three
The Journey continues.
The ruthless Redheads continue to dominate the west, while a small group of unlikely creatures plot to overthrow the usurper Enu, to place the rightful leader a Yellowhead in his place.
Armies gather from the four corners of Blackstone to destroy the ghoads. But they must be cunning about this. The ghoads are larger and more powerful than they, and their numbers grow as Blackstone's population of drops. This is due to the ghoad's enormous furnace built in Southland, the home of the delightful faery. There they burn down forests and the creatures that live within, to use the cooled ashes of the dead to make more of their own kind.
Meanwhile, the travelers consisting of a feisty faery from the south, with her pine needle sword, an aging grumbler from the west armed with a sling shot, and pouch full of pebbles, a farting swamper who thinks he's faery from the south, armed with his pet gecko Pu, and poor Jola the boy faery, whose soul was pulled out of his body, and put into a stone by the ghoads, continues on what seems like a hopeless journey, desperately trying to find the king who they hope will put the boy faery back together again. But with so much turmoil in Blackstone and so much destruction and death, a solution may be more difficult that they think.

It is as black as a moonless night within his stone. His soul was pulled out of his faery body and placed into a little grey rock where he has remained for some time. But he is not dead. His body lies limp next to his stone in a little cage, and has to be fed liquid food down a tube. He has been passed from one creature to another and still no one knows how to put him back together again.
Meanwhile, two northern warrior owls, brave and clever Arrowhead and Belvedere decide to take on the ghoads, discovering the tunnels leading to their corner of Blackstone. But while they are in there they come across huge bones of the extinct giants and wonder why the ghoads have kept them. The ghoads have destroyed so much of Blackstone. They have incinerated forests and many creatures that live within, using the ashes of dead folk as their blood. But the giant's bones remain untouched.

At the beginning of this journey, they are given a jewel containing the bloodline of the Gnome King, and are told there are two more jewels hidden in Segais, holding the bloodlines of the Elf Queen and Faerie Queen. Saracen
Saturn's Child - Book One
It has been twenty years since she was last here in Fenton, a small farming town of only 2000. She has changed her identity many times to escape the wrath of her crimes, so far fooling them all. The only one who knows the truth is a pestering ghost from her past, the sweet aroma of roses fill the air every time he visits. But she is determined to take back the life she always wanted, the life she felt she deserved.
When she first meets Saracen, a twelve year old girl linked to a love from her past, she is quick to notice the dark rim around her iris, her penetrating stare and the uniqueness of her aura, that signifies a potential apprentice, a potential woman of the craft.
Saracen is raised by her gran, a Herbalist and prolific gardener, who gives her the nurturing and stable childhood she needs. But when Saracen's dreams and visions begin to come true, and her 'imaginary friend' Seth - a four foot high, grumpy old man who lives in the back garden, becomes more tangible - they begin to question the strange and sometimes violent events occurring around them.
It's unlike Fenton to have so much crime, so much violence. It's as if someone is dictating their lives - a puppet master, a mass manipulator. Someone so clever at disguise no one would suspect a thing.
Set over a twelve month period - this book is mixture of mystery, crime, humor, mysticism and humanity.
Written through the eyes of Saracen; we see the reaction of the locals after a double homicide, the gathering of women to heal a community and the maturing of a talented young girl.
